MISHAWAKA, IND. – The Trine men's tennis team was defeated by Bethel College, 6-3.

After being swept in the doubles matches, the Thunder found themselves with a steep hill to climb to win the event. While they would end up taking three of the singles matches it would not be enough to come back in the event.

Senior Judson Quinn (Russiaville/Western) won the No. 2 match in two sets with scores of 7-6 (7-2) and 6-3. Junior Blake Trusty (Fremont/Fremont) took the No. 3 match (6-4, 7-5). Senior Colin Couch (Batavia, Ohio/Glen Este) was the final winner for the Thunder in the No. 6 match with score of 6-3, 7-6 (7-2).

Trine will look to bounce back on Sunday, Sept. 17 at home against Holy Cross College. The match is set to start at 2:00 p.m.
