ANGOLA, Ind.-- The Trine men's tennis team dropped its final regular-season match of the season to Adrian, 6-3 in an MIAA-match Friday afternoon at Trine University.

The Thunder got singles victories from Caleb Knust (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) and Brian Zehner (Logansport, Ind./Logansport). Knust picked up his victory in dominating fashion at no. 1 singles, winning by scores of 6-1, 6-0. The junior improved to 13-3 on the season. He is 5-1 in conference matches.

Zehner picked up a tough, 7-5 victory in the first set before running away with a 6-0 win the second set. Zehner improved to 10-5 on the season. The freshman concluded the MIAA season 5-1 in conference singles matches, tied with Knust for the top mark on the team.

Victor Flynn (Grosse Pointe, Mich./Grosse Pointe South) and Judson Quinn (Russiaville, Ind./Western) combined on an exciting 9-8 victory at no. 2 doubles. The win included a 7-1 victory in the tiebreak. The freshman duo improved to 4-5 as a pairing, including a 3-3 mark in MIAA matches.

Trine concludes the regular-season 9-8 overall, with a 2-4 mark in conference matches. Adrian improved to 18-5 overall, 4-2 in the MIAA.
