ANGOLA, IND.-- The Trine men's tennis team was defeated 6-3 by Adrian Sunday afternoon at Trine University.

The Thunder got singles victories from Caleb Knust (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield), Nick Cassidy (Archbold, Ohio/Perrsyburg) and Nick Ihrie (Kendallville, Ind./East Noble). Knust won his third-straight match at no. 1 singles. He has won nine of his last 10 matches and is 14-3 overall. Cassidy kept the momentum from Saturday's win rolling forward with his second-consecutive victory, with this one coming inthe no. 4 court. Ihrie's win at no. 6 singles was his second-straight win and his first in MIAA matches this season.

With the loss, Trine falls to 7-7 overall and 0-3 in conference matches. Adrian took all three doubles matches and got wins in the no.'s 2-3 and no. 5 singles courts to get the victory. The Bulldogs are 12-4 overall and 3-1 in the MIAA.

Trine returns to the courts Tuesday, Apr. 8 when they travel to Calvin. First serve is set for 4:00 p.m.
