MISHAWAKA, IND.-- The Trine men's tennis team picked up a 6-2 win over Bethel Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match on the Bethel campus courts.

The Thunder won both doubles matches that were completed, with those wins coming in the no. 1 and no. 3 courts. Caleb Knust (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) and Nick Cassidy (Archbold, Ohio/Perrysburg) won by an 8-3 decision in the no. 1 flight, while Joey Clark (Sturgis, Mich./Sturgis) and Nick Ihrie (Kendallville, Ind/East Noble ) combined for the victory at no. 3.

Knust added a dominating victory in no. 1 singles to move to 13-3 on the season. Clark, Ihrie and Cassidy each added singles victories. After dropping his first set, Cassidy rallied to pull out the victory in an epic 15-13 tiebreak in the no. 3 court.

Trine returns to action tomorrow when they host Adrian at 1:00 p.m. at Trine University.
