BRIGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association recognized a conference record 137 teams this afternoon with the MIAA Team GPA Award. Trine University saw all of its MIAA sponsored women's teams collect the award. 19 Thunder teams earned the award in total. To earn the award a team must have a 3.3 GPA or higher for the academic year.
 
The Thunder earned three of the top six highest GPAs in the conference this season. Women's soccer, Women's golf, and Women's volleyball had the fourth, fifth, and sixth highest GPAs in the MIAA. Women's Cross Country, Women's tennis, softball, and Women's basketball ranked 12^th-15^th. Men's and Women's Track and Field, Men's Tennis, Baseball, Men's Golf, Men's Soccer, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Cross Country, Wrestling, and Men's Basketball also earned the award for the Thunder.
