HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – The Golf Coaches Association of America announced their 2026 NCAA Division III All-Region teams. Garrett James earned his first career All-Region honor following an excellent season that has culminated in a berth to the NCAA Championships as an individual.
 
James is currently 39^th nationally in the SCOREBOARD rankings and seventh in the region. James' season includes tying the program record for an 18-hole round with a six-under 65 on October 4^th. He claimed a dramatic playoff victory just three days later Cog Hill #4 – Dubsdread. His 54-hole total of 221 strokes is the third best in program history. His season round averages of 73.24 and 36-hole average of 147.50 also ranks third best.
 
James' career averages of 75.13 and 151.17 are fourth best in program history. James earned first team All-MIAA honors for the first time this season while leading the Thunder to a second-place finish in the MIAA standings. The Thunder established new season records for 18-hole and 36-hole scoring averages with marks of 296.50 strokes and 593.33 strokes.
 
James tees off tomorrow morning at 7:30 a.m. at Las Colinas Golf Course in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
