ADRIAN, Mich. – The Trine University women's lacrosse team fell to Adrian College on Saturday afternoon 17-3. The Thunder (7-5, 2-2 MIAA) trailed 4-2 after the first quarter but were shutout by the Bulldogs (10-3, 4-1 MIAA) in the second half.
Elizabeth Larson,
Izabelle Dominski, and
Sydney Weiss scored the goals for Trine. Larson grabbed six ground balls and Dominksi forced three Bulldog turnovers.
Dominski scored first with an advantage goal in the first period, Larson scored later in the first to cut the Bulldog lead to 4-2 with
Samantha Bunzendahl assisting. Weiss scored with help from
Sydney Strollberg in the second quarter. Adrian would score the game's final ten goals to take the win.
Trine hosts Kalamazoo College on Wednesday afternoon at 6 p.m.
