ANGOLA, Ind. – Assistant Vice President for Athletics Matt Land has announced that Daniel Hanson will serve as the next head coach of the Trine University men's rugby team.

"Daniel is a great fit for Trine University combining knowledge and excitement for the sport of rugby," said Land, "We are excited for him to continue growing our program."

Hanson comes to Trine after most recently serving as the Forwards coach for University of Louisville club rugby. As a lead assistant he helped in all aspects of game preparation and organization with the program while also working toward recruiting goals. In addition, he served as the team's strength and conditioning coach.

Hanson has played both professionally in United Stats Major League Rugby and collegiately at the University of Louisville.
