BRIGHTON, Mich. – Senior RJ West II has been named this week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Football Offensive Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

This is the third time this season that the MIAA has recognized one of the Thunder, the second time for West as an individual.

The Florence, Ky. native led the offensive effort against Alma College this past weekend going 29-for-40 through the air with 347 yards and two touchdowns. The 33-9 victory ends a 14-game winning streak in MIAA competition by Alma, a streak that spanned nearly two years. It is the first time that Trine has beat the Scots since the 2021 season.

Trine enters their bye week with a 4-1 overall record and a 2-0 mark in MIAA play. They will host Albion College for their next game on Thursday, October 15. That contest is set to start at 7 p.m.
