ANGOLA, Ind. – Trine University Director of Athletics Matt Land has announced Alyssa Krause as the new head coach of the women's soccer program. Krause comes to Angola after spending the last three seasons as the associate head coach at Division I Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.

"We are excited to welcome Coach Krause to Trine University," said Land, "She brings a wealth of experience from multiple levels of collegiate competition that I expect will aid her in taking our program to the next level."

Krause served primarily as SIUE's film and travel coordinator. In her time with the Cougars, she helped them to a pair of Ohio Valley Conference Tournament semifinal appearances. While there she also worked as the team's sport scientist analyzing GPS data to create and optimize team training plans.

Krause spent the 2022 season at SIU-Carbondale, serving as the assistant coach and then the Interim Head Coach. The Salukis recorded the most wins and goals in program history along with SIU's first ever Missouri Valley Conference Tournament appearance.

Krause had her first head coaching experience in the 2020 and 2021 seasons when she served in that role at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. She is also familiar with northeast Indiana, serving as an assistant coach at Purdue University-Fort Wayne where her focus was team analytics and performance. In 2018, with her guidance, the Mastodons posted the best ten-game start to a season in program history.

Krause began coaching with a stop at Taylor University for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. She led the teams' scouting and recruiting efforts while serving as the head coach of the JV squad. In 2016, the Trojans ranked as high as #16 in the NAIA.

Krause graduated from Huntington University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and from Concordia University Chicago with her Master's of Applied Exercise Science.
