Thunder Return to National Poll

ANGOLA, Ind. – After falling out of the rankings for the first time this season, the Trine University men's hockey team worked their way back into USCHO.com coaches poll with a non-conference victory over Adrian College, who was third in the nation at the time.

The Thunder came in 15th in the most recent USCHO.com poll, earning 22 points in the voting. Three other members of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) are ranked by the poll. Aurora University leads the way in second, with St. Norbert College coming in at fourth. The Bulldogs fell to sixth.

Trine is the second team out of the DIII Hockey News national poll. They hold 18 votes in the poll. University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire sits just ahead with 27 points.

The team will return to the ice and NCHA play on Friday, January 16. They will travel to face Lawrence University with opening faceoff scheduled for 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. CT.
