BEAVERS FALLS, Pa. – The Trine University women's triathlon team took seventh overall and second among NCAA Division III teams at the 2025 Beaver County Tri Cup. Four of the Thunder finished among the top ten of the Division III individuals.
The Thunder finished with 172 points, just four points out of sixth place and Division I La Salle University. North Central College won the Division III race with 154 points while the Naval Academy finished firth with just 37 points.
Grace Huisman led the team, finishing 24th overall and third among NCAA Division III opponents. She posted a time of 1:08:11.97 to capture her position. Not far behind was Mia Griesmeyer who posted a time of 1:10:55.17 to finished fourth in division and 31st overall.
Lia Bartholomew was sixth in division and 36th overall with a time of 1:11:38.95. Tessa Szymanski was seventh with a time of 1:12:47.56, good enough for 42nd overall.
The next trio of Thunder all came in between 64th and 70th as individuals. Carmen Blaine had a time of 1:20:23.52, Alyssa Seiter had a 1:21:44.26, and Paige Aselage finished at 1:22:21.85.
Trine will continue their season when they travel to the Prairie State Cup on Saturday, October 4. That event, which is hosted by Millikin University will begin at 10:15 a.m.
