TEMPE, Ariz. – The Trine University women's triathlon team extended their streak to five seasons finishing in the top-two at the Collegiate Triathlon National Championships, coming in second at the 2025 edition of the race. Grace Huisman led the way for the team with a podium finish at the event.
North Central College was again the Division III champions at the event, posting a team score of 450 points. The Thunder came in second with 392 points and Central College was in third with 272. Arizona won the overall reach with the hosts from Arizona State finishing second.
Huisman finished the race with a time of 1:11:22.1 to secure the third-place finish. She was just over a minute behind the top two racers from North Central. Mia Griesmeyer was second on the team with a time of 1:13:35.1 and Lia Bartholomew came in third with a 1:14:49.0.
Tessa Szymanski was fourth on the team with a time of 1:18:48.4 and Alyssa Seiter rounded out the scoring racers for the Thunder with a time of 1:20:59.9. Carmen Blaine (1:23:46.6) and Paige Aselage (1:24:38.5) rounded out the delegation from Trine.
