ANGOLA, Ind. – Five members of the Trine University women's triathlon team have been recognized by the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association as All-Americans.
A trio of racers earned first team honors. Grace Huisman topped the group with a third-place finish with a time of 1:11:22.1. Mia Griesmeyer was next in for Trine and Lia Bartholomew was third on the team. All three of the Thunder finished top six at the event, with top seven earning first team honors.
Tessa Szymanski earned second team honors with a 14th place finish in her first national championship event. Alyssa Seiter took home honorable mention recognition with her 17th place finish.
The Thunder finished second at the championships, the fifth straight season they have finished in the top-two at the event.
