FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Freshman Jeshua Miller has been named this week's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Football Defensive Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

This is the first time this season that a member of the team has earned Athlete of the Week honors. It is also the first time for Miller.

The Avon, Ind. native was an absolute force in coverage during the Thunder's 27-10 victory over the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He finished the game with two of the team's four interceptions in the contest while also adding four tackles.

His first came early in the contest, on just the second defensive series for Trine. He sparked the scoring for the team running 77 yards after the pick to score a touchdown. He then recorded the final interception of the game icing the contest for the Thunder.

Trine will host Franklin College in their next contest, which is scheduled for Saturday, September 20. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
