Alyssa Keptner netted her 100
th career goal while
Izabelle Dominski and
Elizabeth Larson each recorded their third consecutive hat trick; as the Trine University Women's Lacrosse team rolled by Alma College on Wednesday afternoon. Trine is now 8-2 (3-0 MIAA) and Alma falls to 4-6 (0-4 MIAA).
It was an explosive day for the Thunder offense,
Brooke Hoag tallied 10 points in the win with a season high six goals. Keptner joined Dominski and Larson as the quartet each netted a hat trick. Keptner and Dominski got it started for Trine, each scoring a man up goal unassisted. Alma answered with a goal of their own. Hoag scored the next and assisted Dominski just 16 seconds later.
Avelyn McCall got in on the scoring next and Larson scored her first to make the lead 6-1. Hoag scored the next two to build an 8-1 advantage after one quarter.
Dominski completed her hat trick with help from Hoag to open the second quarter. Hoag and Larson scored a man up to enact the running clock, Larson went back-to-back to complete her trio. She added a fourth to open the third quarter with an assist from Hoag. Hoag finished with four helpers on the day, she added a final man up goal before assisting Dominski to build a 15-3 lead. Keptner scored goal 99 with 8:55 remaining and with three seconds left found a lane to the goal and sent goal 100 home.
Trine travels to Saint Mary's on Saturday for an MIAA matchup with the Belles. That game is set for a 1:00 P.M. face off.
