HOLLAND, Mich. – The Trine University women's lacrosse team fell to Hope College 17-8 on Wednesday evening,
Izabelle Dominski recorded her fifth consecutive hat trick in the loss. Trine falls to second place in the MIAA standings with the loss and are now 9-3 (4-1 MIAA), Hope retains the lead in the standings at 8-5 (4-0 MIAA).
Hope scored the first seven goals of the game,
Brooke Hoag finally broke through for the Thunder with her lone goal of the night late in the first quarter. Hope was unfazed, scoring the next six to take a 13-1 lead into the locker room. Trine showed they would not go quietly, scoring the first three goals of half two and outscoring the hosts 7-4 in the half.
Alyssa Keptner scored the first two with Dominski adding two more. Both women completed their hat trick in the fourth quarter, scoring a man up.

Avelyn McCall each had three assists for Trine,
Kelsey Yanagihara made seven saves in goal for the Thunder.
Trine hosts Kalamazoo on Saturday at 1:00 p.m., it will be senior day at Zollner Stadium. Festivities will take place prior to first draw.
