Women's Lacrosse Stung by Kalamazoo

ANGOLA, Ind. – Izabelle Dominski extended her hat trick streak to six games and the duo of Elizabeth Larson and Alyssa Keptner combined for seven goals but the Trine University women's lacrosse fell to Kalamazoo 14-13 on senior day. The Thunder are now 9-4 (4-2 MIAA) and the Hornets improve to 4-11 (3-3 MIAA).

Dominski wasted no time putting herself in position for the hat trick, netting two first quarter goals to level the score at three. Kalamazoo pulled away in the second quarter, scoring five in a row to take a commanding advantage. The Hornets maintained the lead for most of the remainder of the game. Keptner netted goal four on the day in the fourth quarter as Trine began their comeback attempt, outscoring the guests 5-2 in the final frame. Avelyn McCall scored with 15 seconds left to pull the Thunder within one, Trine won the ensuing draw and found a shot attempt as time expired, but the shot was off the mark and the Thunder's fate was sealed.

Trine travels to Calvin on Tuesday for the MIAA regular season finale set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
