ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University Baseball team dropped the second game of their MIAA series to Adrian on Sunday afternoon, 17-6.
Brody Bond led the Trine offense with two hits. Trine is now 9-19 (3-9 MIAA) and Adrian improves to 17-12 (9-2 MIAA).
Trine struck first on a bases loaded RBI sac bunt from
Preston Henschen that scored
Tyler Wise. Adrian answered in the second with 8 runs to take a commanding lead. The Bulldogs added runs in the second and third before Trine answered in the fourth, scoring on a fielder's choice. Trine scored four in the seventh
Dillon Carlquist had a 3 RBI double and then scored on a single from Bond to trail 13-6, that would close the scoring for the Thunder.
Trine closes their series at Adrian on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
