CHICAGO – The Trine University Women's Lacrosse team fell 26-3 to The University of Chicago in their final non-conference contest this afternoon. Alyssa Lahutsky, Sydney Weiss, and Lillian O'Neal each netted goals for Trine in the Windy City. Trine is 5-2 while the Maroons improve to 8-4.
 
All three goals were unassisted, Lahutsky scored first at the 11:09 mark in the first quarter. Weiss scored late in the second quarter as Trine trailed 18-2 at the break. O'Neal added her goal in the fourth quarter.
 
Trine was 6 of 8 on the clear, collected 11 draw controls, and forced seven Maroon turnovers.
 
Trine opens conference play with a three game home stand against the three "A" schools starting on Tuesday afternoon when they host Adrian. The Thunder will play Albion on Saturday night and host Alma next Tuesday.
