WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Trine University men's lacrosse team picked up their eighth win of the season with a commanding victory over their hosts from Washington & Jefferson College by the score of 14-2. Freshman Rocco Curatola had a mammoth day for the Thunder offensively.

Trine scored the first three goals of the game, all in the first period. Collin Custer struck first just 40 seconds after the opening faceoff. Mitchell Voglewede and Chris Molnar both followed up to make the score 3-0.

After the Presidents scored the first goal of the second, the Thunder scored the next five, with three coming out of the stick of Curatola. Kramer Zastrow and Will Gonia each tallied one to give the team an 8-1 lead heading into halftime.

Trine scored three more goals in each the third and four quarters to build their final lead of 14-2. Zastrow led the second half with two goals, with Gonia and Custer added their second of the game. Vin Pantano and Chris Molnar each scored once.

Curatola ended the day with five points after adding two assists to his three goals. He led the team, or shared the lead, in all three categories.
