FRANKLIN, Ind. – The Trine University Women's Lacrosse team dominated the Franklin Grizzlies on Saturday afternoon, 17-3.
Brooke Hoag scored four goals to lead the Thunder and
Kelsey Moran made three saves in goal. Trine is now 3-0, Franklin drops to 0-2.
Alyssa Lahutsky and
Alyssa Keptner each had 4 assists and two goals. Keptner assisted Hoag on the first goal and Keptner scored the second. It was Keptner on the dish again as she found
Izabelle Dominski for the third goal. Lahutsky found
Lillian O'Neal for the next one.
Claire Schmaltz scored the fifth and Keptner found
Sydney Weiss for Trine's sixth goal of the first quarter as the Thunder took control early.
Lahutsky found
Evalyn Belotti to open the second quarter. Hoag,
Avelyn McCall, and Schmaltz all scored as Trine pulled away heading into halftime. Trine scored all seven of the second half goals, Dominski added her second and
Elizabeth Larson scored two, one coming a man down. Hoag completed her hat trick before finding Keptner for another. She beat the third quarter buzzer for her fourth goal. Keptner added the lone fourth quarter score.
Trine returns to action March 14
th for their home opener against Bethel (IN).
