FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced
Jayden Bradshaw as its MIAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Bradshaw led Trine to a pair of victories at the Mauro Panaggio Tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla. last week. This is Bradshaw's first MIAA Player of the Week recognition.
Trine handed Washington and Lee its first loss of the season on Monday and then claimed the tournament title with a win over Piedmont University on Tuesday. Bradshaw tallied 36 points over the pair of wins, highlighted by an 8-of-18 (44.4%) effort from the three point line. He scored 17 points in just 20 minutes of action in a decisive 79-61 victory over the Generals in game one. In a much closer 76-69 win over the Lions of Piedmont, Bradshaw tallied 19 points and five three-pointers and added seven rebounds. His fifth triple of the game came with 18 seconds on the clock and pushed the Thunder lead to two possessions and helped seal the win.
The Thunder return to action on December 30
th when they travel to Manchester University for a 2:00 p.m. tipoff.
