LILBURN, Ga. – The Trine University women's basketball team rode a pair of dominant wins to a one spot increase in their national ranking from last week. In the second weekly Women's Basketball Coaches' Association Coaches' Poll the Thunder moved up one spot to 16
th, they share the spot with Montclair State.
Trine posted two emphatic wins at the Mount St. Joseph Invitational this weekend. Trine defeated Geneva (Pa.) on Friday 92-56 and Carlow (Pa.) on Saturday 112-21. The victory over the Celtics marked the largest margin of victory in program history at 91 points. The 21 points allowed are the second fewest in a single game.
Trine heads to Ohio Northern University on Saturday at 2 p.m. to continue what has been a competitive rivalry over the past few years. Trine owns the series 4-3.
