ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's hockey team dropped one spot in both national polls this week, after a difficult pair of games against the Milwaukee School of Engineering. The Thunder are now 11th in the DIII Hockey News rankings and 12th in the USCHO.com coaches poll.

In this edition of the DIII Hockey News poll Trine received votes tallying 71 points, down 33 from last week. The Thunder now sit comfortably behind Utica University and slightly ahead of the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

In the USCHO.com poll the Thunder received votes totaling 72 points, down from 99 in the last edition. They sit behind Babson College who owns 11th place and one spot ahead of UW-Superior.

Four other members of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association are featured in the polls. MSOE makes their debut in the receiving votes category, following their series win against the Thunder. Aurora University, St. Norbert College and Adrian College held their spots in both polls, continuing to sit second through fourth in both national rankings.

Trine struggled against the Raiders over the weekend. They won a shootout on Friday before dropping a regulation contest on Saturday. The team will look to regroup over the Thanksgiving Break, before returning to play with a challenging home series against the Green Knights. The first matchup between the two nationally ranked teams is scheduled for Friday, December 5 at 7 p.m.
