FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has announced their 2025 All-MIAA Women's Volleyball team. Trine landed two seniors on the All-MIAA Second Team in
Anna Zellers and
Emmaline Leatherman.
Zellers was named second team setter after dishing out 432 assists and 33 service aces. The senior from Greencastle, Indiana is eighth in the MIAA with 4.97 assists per set. Zellers ranks sixth in program history with 1,482 assists and is just four aces away from cracking the top 10 list for career aces. This marks the second consecutive year that Zellers has been named to the All-MIAA second team. She is the fifth Trine setter to earn All-MIAA honors.
Leatherman earns her first All-MIAA honor on the volleyball court, Leatherman earned First-Team All-MIAA honors as a member of the track and field team in 2024. Leatherman ranks second on the team with 210 kills and leads the team with a .256 hitting percentage and 61 blocks. Leatherman is ninth in the MIAA in hitting percentage and tenth in blocks. She also has the most kills in a three-set match by an MIAA player this season with 16 against Alma on November 5
th.
The Thunder concluded the regular season with a 5-3 record and earned the #4 seed in the MIAA Tournament. Trine took down Saint Mary's in five sets to advance to the MIAA Semifinals this evening against nationally ranked Hope College.
