Trine outrebounded their guests 45-41. Metz and Cole added buckets to extend the lead to 20-11 at the break.
The Thunder started the second half hot, making four of six shots and extending the lead to 28-11. The Jackets chipped away with three free throws and a layup to end the quarter trailing 30-16.
Trine appeared set to pull away in the fourth quarter, opening with a 7-0 run.

Olivia Marks was fouled on an inbound and was able to make both free throws to ice the game and give the Thunder their first win of the season.
"I'm proud of the way our team fought tonight" said Head Coach
Andy Rang "I thought we defended and rebounded well, I'm proud of the way our young players stepped up tonight and got it done."
