OLIVET, Mich. – The Trine University men's soccer team traveled to face The University of Olivet for their rescheduled match, with the game ending in a 0-0 stalemate.
The game was evenly matched from the start with both teams forcing a save over the first 10 minutes. The Comets went first with Brandon Walker making a save in the third minute of the contest. Salvatore Orlandi responded for the Thunder eight minutes later.
The teams each had another shot on goal in the remainder of the period, with Tyler Niemi recording Trine's. Gavin Hardy had the final shot of the team for the Thunder in the early minutes of the second half, with the Comet keeper coming up with a third save.
Walker kept the draw intact in the 82nd minute with his third save of the game. The game went final nine minutes later.
The Thunder finish the day 1-11-3 overall and 0-3-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) contests. Trine will finish the home side of their schedule when they host Kalamazoo College on Saturday, October 25. Opening kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
