Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls on Senior Night

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's soccer team gave up a goal in the first minute of the contest, before making strong defensive adjustments. The offense wasn't able to respond and the team ultimately fell 1-0 on senior night.

The Hornets won the opening kickoff back before launching a long pass up the far side of the field. The ball landed behind much of the defense and the attacker moved around the rest before shooting the ball by Brandon Walker who was charging on the play.

Walker played well through the rest of the contest, finishing the game with three saves despite the lone goal.

Offensively, the Thunder had five shots that went on target and then another four that went wide. Ben Borak led the way with three shots, two of which forced saves. Salvatore Orlandi, Tyler Niemi and Dalton Douglas each had one shot on goal each.

None of the shots found the back of the net and the game eventually went final 1-0, nearly a full 90 minutes later.

The Thunder fall to 1-12-3 overall and 0-4-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Trine will finish off the regular season by traveling to face Hope College on Wednesday, October 29.
