10/1/2025 10:25:00 AM

ANGOLA, Ind. – Later this week, at the annual Touchstone and Homecoming Celebration Dinner, two individuals and one team will be inducted into the Trine University Athletic Hall of Fame. During the week we will highlight the Class of 2025 and their accomplishments.

Kaylee Fox is a 2018 graduate of Trine University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing. She was a four-year member of the softball team under head coach Don Danklefsen. Kaylee was a two-time NFCA All-American, a four-time member of an NCAA Regional All-Tournament team and a four-time first-team All-MIAA selection.

Fox helped cement the Thunder as a nationally recognized program, leading the team to their first back-to-back appearances in the super regional round of the NCAA Division III Softball Championship tournament. During her four seasons at Trine, ranging from 2015 to 2018, the team never missed the NCAA tournament and won their regional in both 2016 and 2017. The 2017 team made the program's second trip to the final site of the national event. Kaylee and the team earned two MIAA regular season championships (2015 and 2016) and captured the MIAA tournament title in 2015. The team went 135-42 during her four seasons.

Individually Fox left Trine as one of the best hitters in program history, with a host of records and top ten finishes to support the claim. She currently holds career records in home runs, RBIs and intentional walks. She has the single season record for intentional walks. In almost every other offensive category she sits in the top three both in season and career tallies, including slugging percentage, total bases, on-base percentage, hits, and walks. She holds single game records for most doubles, walks and intentional walks.

Following graduation, Fox spent two summers playing professionally in the ASBA League, which was based in Mobile, Ala.

Fox is still a familiar face for the Trine University softball team, but now on the opposite side of the field. She has been the head coach at Adrian College for the past three seasons. She now resides in Tecumseh, Mich. with her significant other Thor Daley, also a Trine alum, and their two-year-old daughter Kaia.

In addition to the official induction to the Hall of Fame on Friday, October 3, all members of the class will be recognized on the field during Trine's football game against Hope College on Saturday, October 4. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. with recognitions place throughout.
