Drew Moore exploded for 32 points inside the Cutler Event Center this afternoon as the #3 Trine University Men's Basketball team raced past Olivet in the second half for an 85-59 MIAA victory. Moore and
Nate Tucker combined for 53 points as the Thunder are now 12-1 (2-0 MIAA). The Comets drop to 2-11 (0-2) MIAA. Moore buried eight three pointers on 8-11 shooting, while Tucker did his damage from inside the arc making 8-16 field goals and 1-2 triples. Moore's eight threes are the fourth most in a single game in program history.

Trine scored the first nine points of the game and would never trail. Moore scored the first five. Olivet would cut the lead to 3 with six minutes to play in the first half. The Thunder responded by closing the half on an 18-9 run. Moore hit two more triples and score eight of the final 13 for Trine. The Thunder led 36-24 at the break.

Moore would score 19 second half points and Tucker added 17 as the Thunder turned the second frame in to a track meet, scoring 49 in the latter period and holding the hosts to just 6 points in the final four minutes.
Cam Smith added seven points and
Aidan Smylie had a near double-double with 8 points and nine rebounds.
Emmanuel Megnanglo continued his rebounding dominance with 10 more boards, he has 62 rebounds over the last five contests. Megnanglo ranks 45
th in the country in rebounds per game (9.1) and second in blocks (3.7)

Trine plays both games at home next week, taking on Alma on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. and Albion on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
