BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Trine women's volleyball team extended their win streak to five with a 3-0 sweep of Bluffton tonight in the Sommer Center. Trine claimed the match 25-20, 25-19, and 27-25. Trine goes to 13-1 with the win and drops the Beavers to 13-3.

Emma Leatherman led the Thunder with 11 kills and 3 blocks.
Anna Zellers dished out a match high 22 assists and
Catherine Dobies led all players with 16 digs.

In set one trine jumped out to a 12-5 lead with kills from five different Thunder spikers. Bluffton clawed back to tie the match at 14. The Thunder turned away the comeback attempt, closing on an 11-6 run and sealing it with a kill from
Julia Maggio.

In set two Trine took a 5-0 lead and kept the hosts at arm's length the rest of the way as the Thunder pelted the Beavers with 16 kills and forced 5 attack errors, to take set two as six Trine athletes recorded kills.

Set three was a seesaw match that saw three lead changes and eight ties. Bluffton took a 4-1 lead early but Trine rallied back to take a 12-9 advantage before stretching it to 20-14. Bluffton would not go quietly as they stormed back to tie the game at 20. The teams then swapped points, ultimately tying the game at 25 before Leatherman pounded her 11
th and final kill and Dominick clinched the game with an ace. Leatherman notched 6 of her 11 kills in the third set.
