ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University Women's Volleyball team fell today to Calvin and Ohio Northern in three sets. Trine drops to 13-3 (0-1 MIAA) on the season. Calvin is now 10-6 (1-0 MIAA) and ONU moves to 14-4.

In game one Trine lost to Calvin 25-10, 27-25, and 25-15
. Cassidy Victor led the Thunder with 7 kills and
Georgia Pogue had 10 assists. Calvin ran away with the first set but Trine responded well leading nearly all of the second set, after a Calvin run tied the score at 24. Trine would reclaim the lead at 25 before Calvin would end the set with three consecutive points. Set three was tight early on with the teams swapping the lead. Calvin would break away from the Thunder with a 5-0 run to take an 18-13 lead and would complete the sweep with a 25-15 win.

In game two Ohio Northern defeated the Thunder 25-22, 25-13, and 25-16.
Madison Dominick pounded out 11 kills and
Anna Zellers dished out 23 assists. Set 1 was very competitive, the Polar Bears and Thunder swapped the first six points, ONU would take a 16-12. Trine was able to get within one, trailing 23-22 before ONU would take the set 25-22. The Polar Bears took control of sets two and three early and the Thunder were unable to rally back.

Trine returns to action Wednesday, heading to South Bend, Ind. for an MIAA match up with Saint Mary's at 7:00 P.M.
