HANOVER, Ind. – The Trine University Women's Volleyball team split their final two games at the Hanover Invitational today. Trine fell to host school Hanover 3-1 and defeated Blackburn 3-1 in the second game.

The Thunder fell to the Panthers 16-25, 25-20, 22-25, and 15-25. Senior
Madison Dominick led Trine with 10 kills, five aces, and three blocks. Juniors
Anna Zellers and
Cara Wlodarczyk led the Thunder with 20 assists and 16 digs. The Panthers pounced on Trine early in the first set and controlled it all the way. In set two the Thunder fell behind 9-4 but stormed back to take a 14-13 lead before pulling away late to claim set two. Set three was tightly contested after Hanover took a 7-2 lead, Trine clawed back to tie it at 8, Hanover would lead by no more than three the rest of the way and win the set. Set four was again close as Trine took a 6-4 lead early. But two runs by Hanover sealed the match for the Panthers.

Trine bounced back in set two taking down Blackburn 25-17, 19-25, 25-17, and 25-15. Dominick again led with 15 kills and three blocks. Zellers was masterful in the middle dishing out 34 assists. In set one Trine took the lead early and never gave it up cruising to a set one win. In set two Blackburn used a 10-3 run to take a 17-11 lead and claim the set. Sets three and four were controlled by the Thunder as they rolled to big leads early and took the match 3-1.

Trine is set for its home opener Wednesday September 18
th at 6:30 p.m. taking on Manchester in Hershey Hall.
