ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University Women' Soccer team advanced to the semi-finals of the MIAA Tournament this afternoon with a 5-0 victory over Saint Mary's College.
Abigail Marks scored a pair of goals while
Abby Robison netted a goal and added an assist to secure the win. Trine is now 11-4-3 on the season while Saint Mary's closes their season with a 7-9-1 mark.

Trine got started quick, in the third minute
Teresa Ashbrook drew a foul in the penalty area.
Andi Lipic stepped up and buried the penalty kick high and right. Just five minutes later, Lipic created a turnover that was picked up by
Maggie McDowell who passed the ball off to Robison at the top of the 18-yard box. Robison sent a shot high and left past the Belle's keeper. In the 31
st minute Trine earned a corner kick,
Francesca Fronczak took the corner and sent a beautiful ball just in front of the goal and Marks leaped in to head it home.

Trine made quick work of the Belle's defense in the second half as Robison got two shots off in the first 34 seconds of the period. Not long after that, in the 51
st miunte, Trine found themselves in scoring position when Fronczak took a free kick from midfield, Ashbrook gained control of the ball near the corner of the box and made two defenders miss and rocketed a shot to the opposite corner of the goal, past Saint Mary's keeper. Just three minutes later Ashbrook sent a ball up the far sideline to Robison who raced up the sideline before crossing the ball into box and Marks tipped it in low and right for her second goal of the day.

Trine outshot the Belles 20-9 with an 11-4 edge in shots on goal. The Thunder held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Trine will face second seeded Hope on Wednesday, November 6
th with a spot in the MIAA Championship Game on the line.
