MILWAUKEE – Nine different Thunder athletes recorded a kill as the Trine University Women's Volleyball team swept Mount Mary 25-12, 25-10, 25-18 tonight.
Emmaline Leatherman and
Cassidy Victor led Trine with seven kills each and
Georgia Pogue dished out ten assists. Trine improves to 17-4, while Mount Mary drops to 3-17.

Trine hit a marvelous .391 for the match with just eight attacking errors. Leatherman added four blocks to lead the Thunder defense in forcing 18 Blue Angel errors.

Trine took control early with an 8-4 lead and never looked back as
Julia Maggio, Leatherman and Victor each sent home a trio of kills. Mount Mary narrowed the Thunder lead to 17-12 before Trine took control and scored the last eight points to win set one.

Trine recorded four service aces en route to 9-5 lead in set two with
Anna Zellers and
Kylie Rowland each notching them back to back fashion. Set two look to be destined for a back and forth battle as the Blue Angels trimmed a Trine lead to 11-7. Trine then went on 9-0 backed by two Leatherman kills and five aces from Maggio. Trine claimed the last four points and took set two 25-10.

Set three saw the Blue Angels take a 6-2 lead. Trine quickly erased the deficit with kills from five different attackers and aces from Rowland and
Sky Felber. Leading 20-12, Trine and Mount Mary swapped points before a service error delivered Trine their 17
th victory of the season, their most in a season since 2019.

Trine takes on the Blue Angels again tomorrow at 11 a.m. before closing the road trip with a 1 p.m. matinee against Moody Bible College.
