HOLLAND, Mich. – The Trine University Women's Soccer team fell to Hope College today 2-1 at Van Andel Stadium. Francesca Fronczak netted the lone goal for the Thunder who are now 6-4-2 (1-2 MIAA). Ainsley Harris scored both goals for the Flying Dutch who improve to 9-2-1 (4-0 MIAA).
 
Hope struck first in the 10^th minute with Harris' first goal. Trine quickly responded in the 17^th as Fronczak bounced a shot off a Dutch defender and found the back of the net. The rest of the first half was a defensive chess match as Trine only recorded one more shot to the Dutch's three.
 
Hope came out of the half strong scoring just 6 minutes into the second half. Trine then earned a corner kick just two minutes in what was their best scoring opportunity of the half.
 
Trine returns to Shive Field on Wednesday October 16^th at 7 p.m. to host Adrian.
