Cool joins Trine from the University of Maine at Ft. Kent. Where he served as the head coach for one season.
Cool led the Bengals to an 8-4-1 record on their way to the national semi-finals of the USCAA tournament. The Bengals finished the 2023 season ranked #3 in the country. Cool had UMFK ranked #1 in the country for 5 weeks during the 2023 season. Under Cool’s direction, the Bengals produced four All-Americans in his lone season in Maine. The Bengals led the USCAA in goals per game and shots per game in the 2023 season. Cool also produced a player that was called into camp for his senior national team's 2026 World Cup Qualifier. Cool has coached at the collegiate level for 5 seasons, with two of those seasons as a head coach. He has also coached at the high school and club levels for 8 additional years. His last season at the high school level resulted in a conference championship.
