2025 NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Championship

Trine University was selected to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Championship as an at-large, marking the first berth to the tournament for the program. They will host Oswego State University of New York at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 15.

The Thunder finished the season with a 20-6-2 overall record after bowing out of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) Harris Cup semifinals. The team was the third seed in that tournament after finishing the conference season with a 12-4-2 record and 40 points. The team has been ranked nationally throughout much of the season, by both the USCHO and DIII Hockey News. They are currently ranked seventh in the nation in both polls.

The Lakers enter the tournament after winning the State University of New York Athletic Conference tournament. The team finished the season with a 16-8-3 record and entered that conference tournament as the second seed before winning their way to the finals and the automatic bid. Oswego is 14th in the USCHO poll and receiving votes according to DIII Hockey News.

MEDIA:

All media wishing to attend the event must be credentialed by Trine University. Please contact Brandt Marshall to request a credential.

Press conferences will be hosted for both teams following the completion of the game. The advancing team will go first followed by the eliminated team. The NCAA requires a ten minute cool-down period before participants are made available for media.

Some work space will be available for media in the press conference area. Limited space in the arena is available, but credentialed media will have access to glass space for photo and video taking. 

Any media that do not follow NCAA or Trine University protocol are subject to loss of credential.
