NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – The Trine University women's cross country team opened its season on a hot and humid Friday evening at Manchester University. The Thunder competed in a 5000-meter race on the Spartan's campus; Grace Dubsky took third place to lead the Thunder. The meet did not keep team scores.
 
Dubsky crossed the line first for Trine in 19:46.9, Courtney Study took fifth overall in 20:18.6. Allayna Gue was eighth in 20:53.7 and rounding out the Thunder top five were Hannah Geaney and Lucinda Kriofske Mainella in 11^th and 12^th place.
 
The Thunder claimed the next four positions with Samantha Wogaman, Laeceigh Farris, Hope Wilkes, and Olivia Rayson completing the pack of Trine runners.
 
Trine heads to Michigan State next week for the Spartan Invitational on Friday, September 11^th. The race time has not been announced yet.
