BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Trine University women's triathlon continued their season with a solid performance at the 2026 Beaver County Tri Cup. The Thunder finished ninth out of 13 teams from across all three NCAA divisions, but came in second among NCAA Division III competition.
The Naval Academy took top position in the overall event, with the hosts from Duquesne University coming in at second. North Central College was fifth overall while winning the Division III portion of the event.
Hailey Sills led the way for the Thunder, finishing 49th as an individual. She finished the race with a time of 1:11:20.36. Finishing just behind her with a time of 1:11:34.16 was Lia Bartholomew, finishing 50th as an individual. Tess Szymanski finished 52nd with a time of 1:12:11.26. The final two counting times for the Thunder were Ella Bartholomew (1:18:34.38) and Carmen Blaine (1:21:48.48) who both finished in 70th and 77th respectively.
After racing for the past three weekends in a row, the Thunder will now enjoy a well-earned break before their next competition. They are set to head to the Prairie State Cup on Saturday, October 19 for their next race.
