ANGOLA, Ind. – Bailey Puckett will represent the Trine University women's track and field team at next week's NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
 
Puckett qualifies for the championships in the 1500-meter run for the second year in a row. This marks the sixth time she will compete on the national stage. Puckett is a two-time qualifier in cross country and the indoor mile. Puckett finished seventh in the mile run during indoor season and earned first team All-America status. Last season, she was ninth in the 1500 meters and garnered second team All-America status.
 
Puckett is Trine's 73^rd national qualifier and will look to become the program's 19^th All-American and 4^th multi-time first-team All-American.
 
The first round of the 1500-meter run is scheduled for 4:35 p.m. C.T./5:35 p.m. E.T. The top four finishers in each heat plus the next four fastest times will make up the 12-woman final on Saturday at 12:25 p.m. C.T./1:25 p.m. E.T.
