Women's Tennis Falls to Calvin

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's tennis team dropped their match against Calvin University by the score of 6-1.

The Thunder took one of the doubles matches to start the dual but fell in the other two with the Knights earning the first team point of the day. The top team of Elina Locane and Alexis Maloney won their match 6-2.

The lone point for Trine came from the No. 1 singles match where Locane won 6-4, 6-4. Also with a strong performance was Avery Elsworth in the No. 6 match. She won the first set before falling in a super tiebreaker with scores of 6-4, 5-7, 5-10.

The Thunder fall to 14-5 overall and 2-4 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) following the loss. They are set to finish the home portion of their schedule when they host Alma College on Sunday, April 19. That match is set to start at 2 p.m.
