ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's tennis team fell to visiting Calvin University 6-1 in their latest dual of the season.

The Thunder dropped all three doubles matches to lose the first team point of the day. The closest of matches was the third with Landon Bassett and Asher Monson falling 6-4.

Monson accounted for the lone team point of the match, winning the No. 6 singles match 6-3, 6-1. The other close match was the No. 3 singles where Andrew Spirrison forced used a tiebreaker win the first set to force a super tiebreaker. He ultimately fell with scores of 7-6 (9-7), 4-6, 6-10.

Trine falls to 12-5 overall and 2-2 in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) play after the loss. They are scheduled to next take the courts when they host Kalamazoo College on Thursday, April 16. That dual is set to start at 4 p.m.
