ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University men's hockey team stayed put in both national polls after splitting their weekend with Adrian College. The Thunder are 11th according to DIII Hockey News and 12th according to USCHO.com.

The team lost six points in the DIII Hockey News poll but held onto their 11th spot. They have 90 points in the voting. The Thunder gained eight points in the USCHO.com voting to hold onto their 12 spot with 91 points.

Three other members of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) remain in the polls. USCHO.com believes Aurora University is the top team with a third-place spot, with Adrian College coming in at fourth and St. Norbert College at fifth. DIII Hockey News flips the Bulldogs and Spartans and places the Green Knights in sixth.

In the third edition of the NCAA National Power Index (NPI) rankings, Trine sits 18th, a gain of two spots from last week. The NPI are used to determine seeding and at-large selections to the upcoming NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Championship tournament. The last at-large selection will be awarded to a team within the top ten. Adrian paces the NCHA in sixth, Aurora comes in at 10th and St. Norbert holds the 13th spot.

The Thunder split the weekend with the Bulldogs and, with help from the University of Dubuque, they secured the third seed in the upcoming NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs. The team will host Marian University for a best-of-two series beginning on Friday, February 20 at 7 p.m.
