ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Trine University men's cross country team finished 13^th of 37 teams at this morning's Augustana Interregional Rumble. The Thunder finished behind eight nationally ranked teams and defeated #28 Wisconsin-Whitewater.
 
#1-ranked Wartburg College took the team title and the Knight's Isaiah Hammerand took the individual title. Blake Overmyer led the Thunder with a 43^rd place finish in 25:00.9.
 
Nick Spielman was 106^th for Trine in 25:41.1. Two Thunder finished nearly side by side with Max Van Huis and Clay Batio finishing in 113^th and 114^th. Van Huis finished 25:42.4 and Batio in 25:44.1. Gavin Hinkley finished 145^th in 25:58.7 for a personal best to round out the top five for Trine.  Brady Millington and Nolan Grant were in Trine's line up and finished in 168^th and 204^th.
 
The rest of the Thunder cross country team competed at the Oberlin Interregional Rumble and placed 14^th of 19 teams. Seth Bakker led the Thunder in 77^th place.
 
Trine is off next week in preparation for the MIAA Championships on October 31 at Albion College.
