ANGOLA, Ind. – The Trine University women's track and field team won 10 of the 13 it had entries in.
Brooklyn Kerry won a pair of events for Trine, establishing new top-10 marks in the high jump and long jump. The meet was not team scored.
Aniyah Small,
Emma Heintzelman, and
Ariana Todd finished 1-2-3 in the 60 meter dash. Small crossed in 8.05 seconds, Heintzelman in 8.13 and Todd in 8.18.
It was 1-2-3 again in the 400-meter dash with
Kaylee Birely claiming the win in 1:02.60 followed by
Alyssa Possehn in second and
Emily Wahl in third.
The 800-meter run was claimed by senior All-American
Bailey Puckett in 2:19.72, a new #5 all-time mark.
Eleanor Young,
Taryn Pratt, and
Courtney Study finished 2-3-4.
Chloe Goodrich and
Grace Dubsky went 1-2 in the 3000-meters and
Mia Griesmeyer won the 5000-meter run with Puckett, Young, and Study finishing 2-3-4.
Sophia Peter and
Hannah Flores-Ness tied for the win in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.70 seconds.
Peter, Flores-Ness, Small and
Adrianne Jackson won the 4x400-relay in 4:17.35.
Kerry moved to #7 all-time with a clearance of 1.54 meters/5' .5" in the high jump and #5 in the long jump with a leap of 5.25 meters/17' 2.75". Flores-Ness took second in the high jump and
Emmaline Leatherman was third in the high jump and second in the long jump.
Avery Boyce won the pole vault with a height of 3.20 meters/10' 6" and
Kelah Hodge was second.
Macy Bonifield led the throws squad with a second place effort in the shot put and a fourth place in the weight throw.
Trine heads to Hillsdale's Wide Track Classic on Friday.
