FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's golf coaches have released the results of their annual preseason poll. Atop the poll are the Trine University Thunder, they earned 12 points and four first-place votes. Hope College was close behind with 13 points and three first-place votes.
 
Trine returns four All-MIAA selections from last season's MIAA runner-up showing. Carter Schnipke and Garrett James return after first team All-MIAA selections and will bring leadership to the squad as seniors. The duo will continue to mentor the talented duo of sophomores Jake Bilby and Jack Besner. Besner earned first team All-MIAA honors as a freshman and Bilby was on the second team.
 
The Thunder open their season on September 2^nd at the Aurora University Double Gun Classic.
