GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Trine University men's tennis team was defeated by their hosts from Calvin University in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) dual match. The Thunder fell 7-0.

The Knights started by taking all three of the doubles matches to secure the first point of the match. Only two of the singles matches featured close competition. Andrew Spirrison won the first set of the No. 2 singles match before falling in three with scores of 6-2, 4-6, 1-6. After a tough first set, Elijah Schilthuis forced a tiebreaker in the second with final scores of 0-6, 6-7(0-7).

Trine fell to 8-9 overall and 2-2 in the MIAA. The team will return home for their next competition hosting Alma College on Saturday, April 12. The dual is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
