GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Trine University women's tennis team dropped their Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) dual match against Calvin University by the score of 6-1.

The Knights took all three doubles matches to earn the first team point of the contest. All the matches ended 6-1 in favor of the home team.

The lone team point of the day for the Thunder came at No. 1 singles where Elina Locane came from behind to secure a victory in a marathon match. She lost the first set 5-7 before winning the second 7-5 to force a tiebreaker. The tiebreaker went to extra points but ended in favor of the sophomore 13-11.

Trine falls to 11-3 overall and 2-2 in MIAA play following the loss. They will return home for their next competition, hosting Alma College on Saturday, April 12. The dual is set to start at 11 a.m
